I grew up in Montana, and have now lived in California for 30 years. I’ve traveled extensively, and have visited over 50 countries.
I was a professional student, and attended several good universities, including UC Berkeley, University of Washington, and Katholic University in Leuven Belgium.
I attended ITMI, the International Tour Management Institute in 2009.
I’ve attended several Trip School Training Programs.
I’m a licensed guide in New York City. I’ve created three walking tours in Manhattan.
I’m a licensed guide in Washington DC.
I’m strongly interested (ok, obsessed with) Japan and South America. I’ve traveled extensively, and I keep returning to those areas to explore more. As a retired airline employee I fly free. That helps. My Spanish is good (not fluent, but definitely good). I created, booked, and led a tour in Japan in 2026.
I’m interested in the outdoors, and California Agriculture. During Covid I presented an online lecture to the SF Tour Guide Guild on California Agriculture.
I’m a snow skier, and have taught skiing at Lake Tahoe.
I’ve worked since 2022 with Al Brooks Rose Parade Tours giving tours of the LA area including the Rose Parade.
