Broad interests in history (including military history), geology, architecture, natural history, and California agriculture. Hobbies include hiking, visiting historic sites and museums, garden projects and cooking/baking.
Jason has extensive experience with the full variety of Bay Area tours -- San Francisco, Muir Woods/Sausalito, Napa and Sonoma Wine Country, Monterey/Carmel, Alcatraz and Chinatown bus/walking tours. A specialty is architectural tours (he was a docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation in the 1990s).
Besides the standard itineraries, he has been been involved in many highly custom experiences, such as an agriculture tour for farmers from Australia and a fam tour for a medical association considering San Francisco for their conventions. He has experience with VIP clients, including a European head-of-state and a member of the British Parliament.
Over-the-road tour experience includes most locations along the California Coast and Yosemite, the desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Mountain West and New England.
